Our Philosophy
Our Organisational Philosophy is based on the following Core teachings of ‘Gautama the Buddha’:
TEACHING I: THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS as propounded by Gautama Buddha viz.
- Truth of Suffering in people’s lives
- Truth of the Cause of Suffering due to craving, attachment, and ignorance
- Truth of the Cessation of Suffering by eliminating its causes
- Truth of the Path to the Cessation of Suffering through the ‘Noble Eightfold Path’
TEACHING II: The Suffering that is universal in nature can be contained and countered through the following ‘NOBLE EIGHTFOLD PATH‘:
- Right View
- Right Resolve
- Right Speech
- Right Action
- Right Livelihood
- Right Effort
- Right Mindfulness
- Right Concentration
TEACHING III: BELIEVE NOTHING WITHOUT VALID REASONING, even if something/ ideas are traditionally handed down for many generations or because it is spoken and rumoured by many or it is found written in our religious books or in the authority of your teachers and elders.
BELIEVE, only After Due Examination and Analysis. If you find it to be Reasonable and Conducive to the Good, the Benefit and the Welfare of All Beings, Believe and Accept that Doctrine, take it as your Guide and Live up to it.”
